Who We Are

Rita Lara has over 15 years of experience developing programs and as a social change fundraiser for Massachusetts-based non-profits. In 2006 she was hired as a consultant by La Alianza Hispana, an organization that faced a $300,000 deficit. She created a fundraising plan that netted over $500,000 and was hired as the full time Director of Development in 2008. At La Alianza Hispana she quadrupled annual campaign revenues by launching the organization’s first virtual fundraiser and competed with over 1,000 applications to win a 2.3 million dollar five-year grant from the office of Adolescent Health.

In November 2010, Rita assumed a position as the Director of Transformational Fundraising for Raising Change. Rita received her bachelor’s in English literature from Tufts University and a master’s degree from the Harvard University Graduate School of Education in human development and psychology.
